Howard Kim, MSOM, AP

has spent more than 20 years in study and practice with eastern philosophy and eastern medicine.  Before taking up the mantle of Chinese medicine he was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, where upon graduation, he spent fifteen years as a professional chef in New York City, Baltimore, and Orlando. His culinary experience has allowed him to have a unique perspective in food as it correlates to Chinese medicine. After his culinary journey, he returned back to his formal training in eastern medicine by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, as well as concurrently training in Classical Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, both Chinese and Japanese styles, Chinese medicine psychology, and Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis under Brandt Stickley, L.Ac. & Leon Hammer, MD. He has also had training in Classical Homeopathy, Homotoxicology, Biopuncture, Active Release Technique, Activator Method, and sports medicine based assessments. He also teaches seminars and lectures on Chinese dietetics, Chinese medical history, culinary arts, traditional tea, TCM pulse diagnosis, and philosophy.

 

 

Dr. Shamiso Mucherera

Shamiso’s healer journey began back in 2013 when she received her first crystals and first got introduced to working with energy as a healing therapy. From there she started practicing meditation and through divine guidance signed up for Acupuncture School in 2016. Shamiso has expanded her knowledge in both western and eastern medicines by certifying as a Reiki Master-Teacher practitioner, Yoga Instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor, and medical Qi Gong practitioner.

Shamiso started studying under Dr. Kim back in 2015. She has worked in Acupuncture clinics in Daytona, Downtown Orlando and Winter Garden since 2021. She is also currently a teacher and clinic supervisor at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine. Shamiso utilizes her training in the Master Tong method, Dr. Tan's balance method, Microneedling, Acupuncture Injection Therapy and energetic healing methods in her healing practice.

Shamiso has special interests in, but not limited to, treating Women’s health issues from menstrual to menopausal, neurological/neuropathic issues, gastrointestinal issues, mental/emotional, sleep issues, and facial rejuvenation.

She loves the outdoors. Her favorite author is Paulo Coelho.

 

Cathy Perry, LMT Dip.O.M., AP

Dr. Perry has spent more than 40 years involved in health care. She began her journey working as a clinical lab technician with qualifications in microbiology, serology, immunohematology, clinical chemistry and hematology. She later became a licensed massage therapist with specialization in neuromuscular massage therapy. She is also a Reiki master, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and a sixth degree black belt in Chil Sung Kwan.

Her passion for health and wellness, together with her belief that bodies have an innate drive to be balanced and healthy, led her on a journey to find the perfect tools to help achieve this balance and harmony. Dr. Perry is also passionate about sharing those keys to success to help others in their journey to health and wellness. With her background in western and eastern medicine approaches, Dr. Perry blends these two perspectives for those on their journey to health, wellness and balance.

Dr. Perry began studying acupuncture in 2012. Dr. Howard Kim was one of her first instructors. After graduation, she worked at Precision Integrative Medicine with Dr. Dustin Vaughan. Dr. Perry utilizes her training in Acupuncture Injection Therapy and Electro Acupuncture in her acupuncture healing practice.
